Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 August 2026

In short: we store your name and email so you have an account, and the loan figures you type so you can come back to them. We never ask for your PAN, Aadhaar, account numbers, or property address. We never sell, rent, or trade your data. We use the loan figures, stripped of anything identifying you, to make our matching better for the next person.

1. Who this covers

This policy explains how TitanFin (“we”, “us”) handles personal data on titanfin.co, and it forms part of our Terms of Service. We are the data fiduciary for that data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can browse our rate listings and use the balance transfer calculator without giving us anything at all; the rest of this applies once you sign in or write to us.

2. What we collect

When you sign in. We use Google to sign you in and receive your name, email address, and profile picture URL from them. We store those, along with the time you were last seen, to identify your account. We never see or store your Google password.

When you use the loan tools. We store the figures you enter: outstanding balance, interest rate, rate type, remaining tenure, property market value, credit score band, state, and your current lender. If you choose to provide them, we also store your age, current EMI, sanction date, sanctioned amount, and original tenure. Every one of these is optional except the handful the form marks as required.

When you write to us. The contact form stores the name, email address, and selections you submit, and emails them to us so we can reply.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you.

3. What we never collect

We do not ask for, and our records have no field to hold, your PAN, Aadhaar, loan account number, bank account number, card details, salary slips, credit report, property address, or any uploaded document. Those appear on a sanction letter, and we deliberately do not extract or keep them, so there is nothing of that kind here to lose.

We ask for your credit score as a broad band rather than a number, and we never pull your credit report or make any enquiry with a credit bureau.

4. Why we hold it

To run your account and show you your own saved loan details when you return.

To produce your comparison: every figure you enter is used to work out which lenders fit and what a transfer would save you.

To improve our matching. We study the loan figures in aggregate, without anything identifying you, to understand real borrowing patterns and make our suggestions better for future users. This is the one use that outlives your own visit, and it is the reason the tools are free.

To answer you when you contact us, and to keep the site secure and working.

5. What we never do with it

We do not sell, rent, trade, or licence your personal data to anyone, for any price. We do not share it with lenders, brokers, or agents. We do not pass it to third parties for their marketing, and we will not contact you with marketing on anyone else's behalf. We are paid no commission by any lender, so there is no arrangement anywhere that would be served by handing your details on.

6. Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers, who process data only on our instructions and for the purposes above:

Supabase hosts our database. Vercel hosts the site and provides the analytics. Google provides sign-in. Resend delivers the email a contact form submission generates.

Some of these providers operate infrastructure outside India, so your data may be stored or processed abroad. We may also disclose data where we are required to by law, a court, or a regulator.

7. How long we keep it

Account details and saved loan profiles are kept while your account exists, and are deleted when you ask us to close it. Contact form submissions are kept while we deal with your query and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Aggregated, de-identified insights derived from loan figures — which cannot be traced back to you — may be kept indefinitely, since they no longer constitute personal data.

8. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or complete anything inaccurate, ask us to erase it, withdraw a consent you previously gave, and nominate someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to.

Withdrawing consent or asking for erasure means we can no longer keep your saved loan details, so the signed-in tools will start from scratch next time. We may keep the minimum the law requires us to keep.

9. Cookies and local storage

Signing in sets a session cookie, which is what keeps you signed in; the site does not work without it. We set no advertising or tracking cookies and run no third-party ad networks.

When you move from your results to the calculator, your loan figures travel through your browser's session storage rather than the web address, so they stay out of your browsing history and out of server logs. Session storage empties when you close the tab.

10. Security

Access to our database is restricted and traffic to the site is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee against every eventuality — which is part of why we hold as little about you as we do.

11. Children

The site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data about children. If you believe a child has given us data, tell us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.

13. Contact and grievances

To exercise any right above, to ask us to delete your account, or to raise a grievance about how we have handled your data, write to us through the contact form. We will acknowledge and respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
